Fighting Bees Stung Blue Angels 3-0
Milwaukee, Wis. -- The St. Ambrose Fighting Bees were welcomed to Milwaukee by the Mount Mary Blue Angels. The Blue Angels welcomed students from James C. Madison Middle School who participated in starting lineups, in-game cheers, and a serving competition. Ultimately, the Fighting Bees captured all three sets to win the match.

- Gabby Saucedo Salas (Flagstaff, Ariz.) led the force with ten kills. Andrianna White (Erin, Tenn.) followed behind with eight kills.
- Leading with 26 assists was Ava Fincher (Owensboro, Ky.)
- Abigail Manthey (Mukwonago, Wis.) scooped up 22 digs.
What Happened:
The Fighting Bees scored the first three points of the match. A kill by Rosalina Palacios (Chicago, Ill.) secured the first kill for the Blue Angels, 3-1. St. Ambrose scored three points straight, 7-3. Saucedo Salas shut down the run by getting her first kill of the night, 7-4. Another string of points came from the Fighting Bees, 12-5. This time, Ciani Williams (Gurnee, Ill.) shut down the Bee's. The Bees hit point 20 first, and the Blue Angels would not let them go easily. Williams and Lilly Severson (Cottage Grove, Wis.) added in kills along with a Saucedo Salas kill, 20-16. The Bees scored two more, and a kill from White brought the Blue Angels within three, 22-19. However, the next three points came from St. Ambrose to win the set, 25-19.
To begin set two, the Bees grabbed the first two points. A big kill from Williams and a service ace from Delnora Darden (Hendersonville, Tenn.) tied the set, 2-2. St. Ambrose scored the next four points before the Blue Angels and Palacios could side out, 6-4. Continuous action occurred before a large Fighting Bee run took place. The Blue Angels took their first timeout, 17-7. The Blue Angels were not able to find momentum, and St. Ambrose finished set two, 25-10.
White secured the first kill of set three. The Fighting Bees snatched the following four points, 4-1. They then went on a 7-1 run, forcing an MMU timeout, 11-2. After the timeout, Saucedo Salas was able to connect along with a Fincher ace, 12-6. Continuous action played out until deep into the set. The Bee's hit point was 24, but the Blue Angels were not ready to end. White, Williams, and Severson strung together kills, 24-20. Ultimately, St. Ambrose grabbed the final point and won the set 25-21 and won the matchup, 3-0.
The Blue Angels will have a hefty break before returning to action on Tuesday, November 4th. They will travel to Saint Xavier University for a 7:00 p.m. match.
