La Crosse, WI- As they traveled across the state to Viterbo University for their final match of the season, the Mount Mary University Volleyball team knew they faced a tough task. The V-Hawks brought an undefeated conference record into the match, Viterbo lived up to their pristine record, knocking off MMU by scores of 25-9, 25-11, and 25-18.
Statistically in the match, Ava Fincher recorded an impressive 22 assists and 6 digs. Gabby Saucedo Salas also tallied six digs for the Blue Angels. On the offensive attack, Andriana White provided 13 kills, and Saucedo Salas contributed eight kills to the MMU cause.
The Blue Angels (4-28) showed clear strides of improvement throughout the season, battling through their challenging CCAC schedule. With a strong young nucleus and the potential to return 100% of their roster, the future is clearly bright for Mount Mary volleyball.
