Milwaukee, Wis. --- The Blue Angels of Mount Mary University welcomed the RedHawks of Indiana University Northwest for a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletics Conference (CCAC). The Blue Angels honored their two seniors with a special presentation on Senior Day. Brianna Brown (San Diego, Calif.) and Dylan Christensen (Wrightstown, Wis.) were honored pre-game. The RedHawks won the game, 9-0.
About The Seniors:
Bri is a fifth-year senior goalkeeper who has been a cornerstone of the Blue Angels soccer program. Over her career, she has played in 53 games, starting in 45 of them, and this season she became Mount Mary's all-time career saves leader. She set the new record on September 20th against Trinity Christian and currently has 516 saves (and counting), along with one assist, three wins.
Dylan is a four-year senior goalkeeper who has been a steady and reliable force for the Blue Angels. Throughout her career, she has appeared in 33 games, starting in 31 of them. Dylan has recorded 248 saves, one goal, one assist, and two wins in net. She finishes her Blue Angel career with an impressive 75.38% save percentage.
Game Highlights:
Brown recorded a season high of saves in the goal. She collected 23 saves.
Three Blue Angels recorded shots on goal. Lydia Omernik (Wauwatosa, Wis.), Mamah Konneh (Milwaukee, Wis.), and Dalexis Huyler (Nassau, The Bahamas) were the Blue Angels who added offensive force.
The Blue Angels soccer team will be back at home on Wednesday, October 28th, at 4:00 p.m. They will play against Governors State.
