Davenport, Iowa. --- The Mount Mary University Blue Angels hit the road for their first road conference matchup. They travelled to St. Ambrose University, where they fell 9-0.
Anna Corpas Salcedo (Santa Fe Springs, Calif.) recorded an impressive 20 saves on the night.
After a challenging first half, the Blue Angels found themselves down 7-0, struggling to create scoring chances. Despite the deficit, the defense fought hard to keep the game competitive, with Corpas Salcedo already tallying 10 saves.
In the second half, the Blue Angels limited St. Ambrose to only two additional goals. The Blue Angels were unable to record a shot, but they continued to battle defensively, showing the team's grit.
