Milwaukee, WI- The Mount Mary University Athletic Department has announced that Kaleigh Roop has been appointed Head Softball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director effective immediately.  Roop brings a variety of successful experience on the diamond, most recently completing an 18-16 season as the Head Coach at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania.

"I am excited to announce the hiring of Kaleigh," said Director of Athletics Natalie Balleto.  "She brings great coaching experience to the helm and will have a incredible opportunity to grow as an administrator," Balleto continued, "I'm looking forward to seeing her visions come true while building off of the programs tremendous growth this past season and showcasing her unique skills as an administrator."

Roop is a 2016 graduate of Mount Aloysius where she was a decorated four year member of the softball and basketball teams. 

Professionally, Roop has served as the Head Softball Coach at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, she also spent time on the Coaching staffs at William Woods University and the University of Minnesota Duluth.  While at Minnesota Duluth, Roop was part of a staff that propelled the Duluth team to an at large appearance in the 2019 NCAA Division II Tournament.

As we transition into NAIA competition, this is a pivotal time for the Blue Angels, and I'm thrilled to help lead this next chapter of growth and excellence. Milwaukee has such a strong sports community, and I look forward to building a competitive, driven, and supportive program that represents Mount Mary with pride."
