The Fall of 2026 will see Brady Hunt begin his second season as Mount Mary University Head Cross Country Coach.  Hunt brings a wealth of collegiate success and experience to his role as leader of the Blue Angel Cross Country program.

“I am excited to bring Brady into the fold and eager to see what he will be able to accomplish as our Cross Country Coach,” said Director of Athletics Natalie Balleto, “his passion around Cross Country and experience with recruiting will be a great fit for our growing program.”

Hunt's most recent experience was at Monmouth College, where he mentored a group of athletes that won eight individual conference titles and a team title in three years. His athletes also earned thirty-two All-Conference honors during that time.

Prior to Monmouth, Hunt was the Head Coach at Kishwaukee College for three seasons. The Kougars had a National Qualifier each year, with Dewey Landis placing in the top 200 in 2019.

A native of Aurora, IL, Hunt was a four-time IHSA State qualifier for Marmion Academy in cross country and track & field; the Cadets' made the podium in 2011 with a 3rd place finish. Following his prep career, Hunt competed for Loras College, contributing to two IIAC Conference titles and three National Qualifying campaigns; his career culminated in Loras achieving 14th place finish at the 2015 National Championship.

As a graduate student, Hunt competed for one season at Division 1 Western Illinois before joining the coaching staff as an Assistant for the 2017-18 seasons. Focusing on the distance squad, Hunt coached a group of runners that achieved four All-Conference performances and one NCAA Regional Qualifier.

Hunt commented on his new role, “I'm excited about what the Blue Angel Cross Country team is going to accomplish in the future. We have a strong core of returners and with the new opportunities coming up, this program is slated for significant growth. I can't wait to get started!”
