The Blue Angels head to Cudahy, Wis. to race against 13 other regional teams at the Wisconsin Private College Championships hosted by Alverno. The six kilometer race might play a bit harder than usual as the expected race temperature is 40 degrees.
However, MMU has ran well at all their long races. The most recent 6k for MMU yielded a sixth place finish and a team score that was in front of teams like Maranatha Baptist, Northland, and Edgewood; all of which will be running at WPCC.
Jori Galles (So./Waukesha, Wis.) has been a big boost to an already improving core of runners. The sophomore has added multiple top ten finishes to the team's stat line, and has finished nearly every race with a better time.
With the addition of freshman runner Christina Ishaq (Milwaukee, Wis.) the Blue Angels have finished their core runners in bunches, thus getting the solid team finishes. As Danielle Sherrer (Sr./Milwaukee, Wis.) and Natalie Guyette (Jr./Shiocton, Wis.) continue their steady low times, MMU should continue to finish strong.
