Roosevelt Lakers: Roosevelt is an NAIA University out of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference located in Chicago, Ill. After going 3-14 in 2014-15, the Lakers are 0-1 to start this young season. Roosevelt is returning four of their six starters from last year.
Last season, the teams faced off in MMU's 2014 finale. The game ended in a 5-4 win for the Blue Angels, and tied the school's single season wins record with six. This year's rematch looks to contain a lot of the same sparks as last year. Ana Mercado (Jr./Grafton, Wis.) played her only number two singles' match of the season against Roosevelt where she defeated the current number one singles' player for the Lakers Michelle Beczarski in a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
With a 1-1 series tie, and the last dual match separated by just a single match, the next contest is up in the air.
