Milwaukee, Wis. -- The Blue Angels of Mount Mary University (MMU) hosted Andrews University in their season home opener. The Blue Angels put on a show in front of the home crowd. The dominating effort from the Blue Angels resulted in a 99-52 victory. This marks the best start to the season in program history as the Blue Angels are now 3-0 overall.
Highlights from the Game:
- Mikkalla Robertson (Milwaukee, Wis.) put up a team high of 21 points.
- Vanessa Diaz (Kissimmee, Fla.) dished out six assists.
- The Blue Angels snatched 18 total steals. Rionne Turner (Milwaukee, Wis. ) and Diaz led with three steals each.
- Mount Mary's strong defensive effort resulted in scoring 32 points off of Andrews' turnovers.
- An impressive 57 points were scored from the Blue Angels bench.
The Blue Angels basketball team will hit the road for three games this week. On Wednesday, November 12th at 7:00 p.m., they will play Judson University. This will be the Blue Angel basketball team's first competition in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC).
