Giddings sets new single season scoring record but MMU Falls at Illinois Tech

Chicago, IL- The Mount Mary Basketball team has consistently shot more foul shots than their opponents all season. This was the case again Monday evening at Illinois Tech, however the Blue Angels could not capitalize, missing 11 free throws which was largely the difference in a 70-58 loss. However, a bright spot was first year player Skye Giddings setting a new modern era record for single season points.

Milwaukee, WI- Mount Mary and Blackburn engaged in a back and forth contest on Sunday evening at the Bloechl Center. MMU trailed by 4 at the break but turned things around in the second half to knock off the visiting Beavers by a score of 81-78. The win was Mount Mary's first over a current NCAA opponent since December 17, 2019.

However, foul trouble and cold shooting slowed down the Blue Angels who fell behind and could not mount a run against the Wolfpack of Oak Hills Christian. MMU dropped the contest by a score of 70-51.
