Sat., Feb. 09

at Grace Christian

2:00 PM

First on the schedule is Robert Morris-Springfield this Thursday at the Bloechl Center. The Eagles are 5-12 on the season but come into Thursday's contest off their first victory in five games. So far this season, E'Lexus Murrell and Deianira Stoudamire lead the Eagles on offense. Murrell averages 16.3 points while Stoudamire averages 12.9 points per game, however, both guards for the Eagles could be labeled as "volume shooters" as they average under 30.0 percent from the field.

On Saturday, the Blue Angels will travel to Wyoming, Mich. to take on the Grace Christian University Tigers. The 13-15 Tigers have had a slow start to the 2018-19 season, but have gone 6-4 since returning from break. GCU spreads their offense around their lineup, however, Bri Harris and Miranda Carlson  have taken the reigns of the offense and thus average 12.8 and 12.0 points respectively this season. Harris' slight edge might be contributed to her prowess outside the three-point line where she is hitting at 34.2 percent this season.

The Blue Angels are averaging 57.5 points per game this season and hitting 32.2 percent as a team from outside the 3-point line. Newcomer Melissa Golo (Fr./Boise, Idaho) has acclimated herself quickly to the collegiate game hitting a team high 45.0 percent from outside this season on her way to 9.4 points per game.

Inside the paint, the Blue Angels are led by Erica Williams (So./Bloomington, Ill.). The sophomore forward averages an impressive 16.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. That has translated into Williams recording nine double-doubles this season.
