Marc Heidorf joins the Mount Mary University staff this fall as Director of Athletics and head basketball coach.
All of Heidorf’s collegiate coaching experience came at the NCAA Division III level—the majority of which coming in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. At the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a women’s basketball powerhouse and where Heidorf entered the coaching ranks as an assistant, his Titans were crowned WIAC champions and earned an NCAA Division III Tournament Sweet 16 berth while compiling an overall record of 26-2.
Heidorf also served as an advanced scout for WIAC opponents while at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Under his analysis, the Eagles notched their first season sweep of UW-Oshkosh in 20 years and his recruiting efforts brought in a class that would eventually earn to the school’s first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 23 years.
Heidorf returns to his home state after most recently spending two seasons at the University of Maine-Presque Isle, where he also coached women’s basketball and was the university’s Sports Information Director. Directly before UMPI, Heidorf spent two seasons at the helm of Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis.
Heidorf earned his Bachelor’s degree with a major in Radio-TV-Film and a minor in Coaching from UW-Oshkosh. In 2007, he received his Master’s in Sports Administration from the UW-La Crosse.
