The Blue Angels (6-11) are coming off a hard-fought loss to Grace Bible College (9-14) last Sat. Feb. 3. The Blue Angels have spread the offense around all season, but recently the combination of Rae Grubbs (So./Covington, Ind.), Erica Williams (Fr./Bloomington, Ill.) and Becky Onan (Sr./Grafton, Wis.) has been instrumental in the late season success.

Newcomer Williams has been pulling down rebounds at an Association of Division III Independents leading 10.5 per game clip. The youngster has recorded five double-doubles in her first year in the NCAA and not surprisingly averages a double-double with her rebounding average and 11.1 points per game.

Grubbs recent success from beyond the 3-point line has set a new bar for MMU. The sophomore shooting guard sunk 7-of-9 3-point field goals against Grace Bible on Saturday setting the new single-game record for made 3-point field goals; Previous record held by Jordan Osley ('11) who hit 6-of-11 3-point field goals on February of 2011 and Jess Runge ('17) who made 6-of-6 on January of 2017.

Becky Onan is 23 points away from being the first Blue Angel, in recorded history, to score 1000 points in her collegiate career. Onan has been consistently scoring for MMU her entire career and this season has been no different. Onan is fifth in the AD3I in points per game with 13.7 and is top five in the AD3I in free throw percentage (72.4) and 3-point field goal percentage (33.3).

MMU will host Silver Lake College (15-7) at the Bloechl Center on Wednesday. The Lakers are riding a seven-game winning streak including an 81-point victory over Association Free Lutheran Bible School. Although the Lakers defeated the Blue Angels 77-51 last December, MMU's recent surge in 3-point shooting could be the difference in Wednesday's rematch.
