Following a win against their rival Alverno College (1-12), the Mount Mary University soccer team will head to Berrien Springs, Mich. to take on the Andrews College Cardinals (0-4). MMU won both games in last season's series, first by 6-0, then 3-1 on the road.
Then the Blue Angels will host an early Saturday contest against Finlandia University (1-8-1). These two teams tied earlier in the season 1-1 in Hancock, Mich. when the Blue Angels came from down in the first half to take the game into double overtime. Live stats for game two of the series will be made available at mtmaryathletics.com.
An active week for the Mount Mary University volleyball team as they have four matches on the schedule. First the Blue Angels will travel to Rockford to take on the Regents (1-20). MMU split the two-game series with the Regents last season; both matches went just three sets. Live video for the match can be found here.
The volleyball team will then travel to Wyoming, Mich. to play in the Grace Bible Tournament. MMU has three games on the docket, first with Finlandia University (4-19) at 3:00 pm, then the Blue Angels will quickly turnaround and play Faith Baptist College. MMU took the Eagles to a fourth set early in the season, but EBC rallied and took the 3-1 win. Live video for the entire tournament can be found here.
The Mount Mary University cross country team will head to this year's version of the Wisconsin Private College Championships. Last year, the Blue Angels finished sixth out of the 13 teams attending the event. With the continuing decline of Blue Angel finishing times this season, MMU looks to continue their success this week at the WPCC.
